Draft Inspections Feature Release!

Papertrail are pleased to announce that all customers can now save draft inspections. This new feature allows users to save an inspection in a partially completed state and then complete it at a later time, creating freedom and flexibility for users that inspect and manage records in different locations.

Please note that the draft inspection feature is only available via the mobile application.

Follow-on Action Release

Papertrail customers will notice a new pop-up that appears following multiple record inspections. This follow-on action captures these newly inspected records and allows users to instantly create certificates for them.

Papertrail launch Analytics!

Papertrail are delighted to announce that we are launching an Analytics feature across all Equipment Management, Compliance Management and Risk Management packages.

The General Report, Inventory Report and Staff Competency Report will provide evidence based overviews of customer accounts which grant instant access to details such as total record count, total asset value and staff qualifications.

Petzl TRAC CLUB Recall

TRAC CLUB TROLLEY RECALL

Petzl have released an immediate recall of TRAC CLUB trolleys (P023AB00 and P023AB01) due to a risk of breakage that could cause a fatal fall.

Immediately stop using the trolleys affected by this recall.

Petzl are recalling the TRAC CLUB adventure park trolleys with reference numbers P023AB00 (trolley sold individually) and P023AB01 (trolleys sold in pack of 5). These trolleys have been sold by Petzl since January 25, 2021. Their serial numbers are 20Lxxxxx to 22Axxxxx, inclusive.

These trolleys present a risk of breakage of the black rear plate that could cause a fatal fall.

Please immediately follow these instructions:

If you are a user:

  1. Stop all use of the affected trolleys.
  2. Quarantine these trolleys.
  3. Communicate this information to your colleagues.

If you are a retailer:

  1. Stop all sales of the affected trolleys.
  2. Quarantine these trolleys.
  3. Communicate this information to your customers.

Petzl PIRANA Recall

PIRANA DESCENDER RECALL

We have been made aware that equipment manufacturers Petzl have issued a recall alert for the PIRANA Descender due to a potential drowning risk if the rope accidentally gets blocked in the blocking slot. The advice from the manufacturer is to immediately stop using the descenders affected by this recall.

This safety alert concerns only the following products:

PIRANA descenders D005AA00 and D005AA01 (see models in photo below). Serial numbers: between 19 F 0000000 000 and 22 A 9999999 999.
Sold from July 2019 to January 2022.

Papertrail have identified more than 80 records affected by this safety alert in our database.

If you have a PIRANA that is affected by this recall, the advice is to stop using it immediately and return it to Petzl using the contact form on the recall notice.

Move a folder within your account!

A new feature has been enabled within your account in order to drag and drop top-level folders!

Click and drag the folder using the Drag icon to the left of the folder name. Drag the folder up or down depending on where you want it to land. For more details, see the Help Article below for a step-by-step guide on using the new feature.

New Products Added to the Product Directory!

At the end of a productive first week in 2022, Papertrail has had over 170 new products added to our Product Directory! Head over to the Product Directory now to see if the Portwest and Arbortech equipment additions should be included in your inventory and inspections!

Throughout November our team were busy adding even more products to our Product Directory, totalling 468 products added in one month!

Almost 400 Guardian Fall products were added, as well as 50 Wichard products!

Other manufacturers that have had more products added to the Product Directory include ART, Aspiring, Come Up Winch, Ronstan, R3 SAR, Reach and Rescue, Underwater Kinetics and NRS!

Log4J Vulnerability

LOG4J UPDATE TO VERSION 2.15.0

In relation to the Log4J vulnerability, Papertrail wants to assure our customers that their data is secure.

We’ve been assessing the situation closely, and after thorough investigation we’ve found that our services are unaffected, and have been working with our cloud provider to ensure that security upgrades have been rolled out.

We’ll be continuing to assess the situation and have reached out to our service providers to ensure that they are doing the same.
